Congratulate Geraldine Demierre and her volunteer elves for pulling off yet another successful Consecon Santa Claus parade, (those of you who know me personally, know that I’m not one to brag or boast, but the CARA float ‘This Is Our Community’ did win the most original float award.) The Consecon library’s arts & crafts sale and the Consecon United Church’s craft and bake sale held on parade day were successful fundraisers, and the Cascades Pub & Grill also kicked-off their 2nd. annual ‘A Time To Share’ food and toy campaign raising $450.00 in cash and over 50 lbs in food for The Storehouse Food Bank. C.A.R.A. Float – won “Most Original”!
Businesses all joined together on the C.A.R.A. float and the results were spectacular. Thanks to the co-ordination of Sherri Bergman. New Business owner Janet Battaglio of Janet B Gallery & Studios did her part with original paintings of Yoga Poses, Billy Bowman’s camp provided ice fishing with a real fish head with Nora and Ruby fishing. And of course a Soap Box Derby Car made it fun – driven by Sam Toth.
