In addition to the Car Boot Sale, Emm’s Restaurant featured a charity Car Wash (with the proceeds going to the Storehouse Food bank in Wellington), free horse-drawn wagon rides around the village, free Mini Golf, and free tattoos, face painting and horse rides. For refreshments Redtail Vineyards featured free appetizers and wine tasting from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, the County Junction Restaurant held a bake sale and pulled-pork special while D and Tees featured a midday hotdog, fries and drink special.
From 10:00 am until noon, Consecon Centennial Park hosted the Kids Game Zone with Egg Race, Sack Race, Three Legged Race, Face Painting and Tattoos. Filling out the bill in the park were the “Discovering Consecon” puppet show, a paper bag puppet-making workshop, and RJ the Balloon Dude. discovering-consecon-puppet-show Meanwhile, the Consecon Library held a used book sale and kids crafting area where they made flags to cheer Soap Box Derby competitors.
