Moon Over Buffalo w/ Bill McMahon…

February 09, 10, 16 & 17 2013

See Consecon’s own thespian, Bill McMahon, in “Moon Over Buffalo”

Presented by Prince Edward Community Theatre. February 9, 10, 16, 17, this laugh out loud funny, backstage farce by playwright Ken Ludwig, who also penned “Leading Ladies” the Prince Edward Community Theatre’s hit comedy of last season, brought Carol Burnett back to Broadway. An acting couple not exactly the Barrymore’s are on tour in Buffalo in 1953 with a repertory consisting of Cyrano de Bergerac and Noel Coward’s Private Lives. Fate has given these thespians one more shot at starring roles in The Scarlet Pimpernel epic and director Frank Capra himself is en route to Buffalo to catch their matinee performance.  Will Charlotte Hay appear or run off with their lawyer? Will George Hay be sober enough to emote? Will Capra see Cyrano, Private Lives or a disturbing mixture of the two? Hilarious misunderstandings piled up on madcap misadventures, all of which are magnified by Charlotte’s deaf mother who manages the theatre. Riotous, building up its laughs methodically, shtick by shtick, jam-packed with comic invention, running gags and a neat sense of absurdity. Come out and enjoy. February 9th & 16th, 2013 at 8 pm and February 10th & 17th, 2013 at 2 pm at Mount Tabor Playhouse in Milford. Ticket information at  www.pecommtheatre.ca/tickets   or 613-476-5925
