July 15 – Province and Feds Step Up To Fund Rendersville Road Reconstruction

Prince Edward Hastings MP Daryl Kramp, Prince Edward Hastings MPP Todd Smith and County Mayor Robert Quaiff announced $9.36 million for upgrades to Rednersville Road.

The work, which will begin next April, will stretch eight kilometres, from Highway 62 to County Road 23. A new base and surface, a bike lane, new culverts and drainage will all be included in the cost, which will be split among the County, the province and the federal governments.

  1. This one third buy-in by all levels of government is better for the tax payer than the same deal The County was seduced into for the Wellington Arena. We know that a new road, properly constructed, is good for at least 10-20 years with NO cost to the taxpayer unlike the arena that cost us all about $500K per year to maintain. Way to go Mayor Quaif!
