  1. I’m sad to hear about the closing of your business. I have always wanted to venture down there to visit with you but we never made it. From all your posts on Facebook it sure looked like the place to be. I know you have fond memories of the nights there and the people you have met on this journey. Wishing you all the best in your next adventure. Do you know what that will be yet?

  2. Summer won’t be the same with no Cascades cocktails when I’m down at the cottage!! Best of luck in your future endeavors!!

  3. So sorry to hear Cascades is closing, hard to believe! We’ve always been treated so well there and always looked forward to playing music there. Will be out Thursday night to rock Cascades one more time

  5. Last night – Thursday, March 2nd, 2017

Cascades has been a cultural hub for Consecon for many years. It has had many owners. For the last 6 ½ years it has been run by Rick & Deanna and their daughter Mandee.

Cascades is where you came to listen to live music, dance or come play or sing on Open Stage nights.

It’s where you meet your neighbours and keep in touch, buy tickets for the local charities and find out what’s happening, who’s ok and who needs our help and to share stories and secrets!!!

It’s where we gather to celebrate birthdays and remember those who have passed. Our village celebrates New Years with music, dancing and champange at midnight! Santa comes to the pub each year after the Parade! Rick and Deanna have been collecting goods and providing hot chocolate and chilli, with all proceeds to the food bank. Thank you Rick & Deanna!

When we want a night out, to bring the family for dinner, relax on the patio, watch the waterfall, the heron fishing and preening or the fish jumping we com here. From the patio you could see people stop to see the picturesque view, of the old, the dam and millpond. People stop on the bridge or wade through the water as they drop a line to fish.

Many of our seasonal residents won’t find out until this summer that our beloved Cascades is gone.

Deanna and Rick will be missed for their hard work and their big hearts.

We wish Deanna, Rick & Mandee all the best and we will miss them.

Cascades will close the doors this Thursday evening. Many will drop by to say good bye and have one last look, drink, dance and time together!

  6. Have a great night tonight. Sorry I can’t make it. Thanks for hosting our band KnucKel HeD over the past year. We enjoyed playing at Cascades very much. So sorry Cascades is coming to an end. Cheers KnucKel HeD!
