Items to donate. We are looking for an organization, church, Legion, fund raising group that would be willing to accept items such as: decorations (Christmas, fall etc.) glasses, dishes, cutlery, framed pictures, mirrors and more! The only catch is that all items must be picked up in Consecon by this Friday. If interested, please contact Rick Furber ASAP.


*Mar.24 – Brighton Swing Bridge Being Replaced

QUINTE WEST – It will cost an estimated $16 million to replace the Brighton Road Swing Bridge and reconstruct sections of the canal approach walls.  The bridge replacement was initially projected to cost $8.3 million, but estimates doubled due to what Parks Canada officials say were additions to the project scope that include rehabilitation of the canal approach walls, spikes in design costs and the costs of mechanical and electrical components and reconstruction of the concrete abutments and pier that are forecasted to be higher. *Mar. 20 – See local actors in the upcoming Nunsense play

The cast of Nunsense includes a mix of veterans and newcomers to Mount Tabor including Paulina McMahon, as Sister Mary Regina Mother Superior and Bea Howse as Sister Mary Hubert. Howse returns to Mount Tabor after a successful run in the Mummers’ recent production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Lynda Zadan plays the wacky Sister Mary Amnesia. A newcomer to Prince Edward County, and making her Mummers debut, is Robin Snip, who plays Sister Mary Robert Anne. Rounding out the cast is Julie Lane, who returns to the Mount Tabor stage as Sister Mary Leo.
