May 12, 2018

ACOUSTIC JAM SESSION featuring “The Friday Afternoon All Acoustic Consecon Musicians.” Since the Fall of 2017, in the late afternoon a group of local musicians, loosely based on the traditional musical sessions at Irish pubs, settle themselves into a corner of the Consecon Legion Hall and take pleasure in giving life to a relaxed, fun and cooperative musical afternoon. Regardless of skill level, the group is open to like-minded players of all ages, prepared to bring along their instruments, songs, and voices. Come on out and experience this Casual Acoustic Jam Session, focused on laid-back musical enjoyment. Consecon Legion, 184 County Road 29 in Beautiful Downtown Consecon. See you there.

April 21, 2018

Hi folks,

I, Bill McMahon, have been invited to lead the Millennium Trail, Consecon Portion group, as part of the QUINTE TRASH BASH! Saturday April 21st. from 9:30am until 12:30 pm.  Assembly at the County Depot, at the corner of Salem Road & Hwy 33 at 9:00 am.

Following the successful community fundraising campaign, the County is upgrading the surface of much of the Millennium Trail this spring. Soon it will be a smooth ride for all users, and walkable and wheelchair-friendly! Picton to Wellington to Consecon and on and on!

After a long winter, I encourage our Consecon & Area residents to get outside and and celebrate our linear park, participate in cleaning up, and give the Millennium Trail a clean, fresh start to the season. A little bit goes a long way and we appreciate the efforts of everyone who participates.

The Annual Quinte Trash Bash is a great project and promotes a cleaner environment, and is a great opportunity for our community to work together to help keep our The County beautiful. We need people who will join in the fun, I hope that everyone who can will come and join us in this very important event. No need to bring anything other than an eagerness to pitch in, we will provide the supplies, (Kits contain Nitrile gloves, garbage bags & clear bags for recyclables)

Anyone knowing of any High School Students who need Volunteer Hours, Participating in Quinte Trash Bash counts! Students can register in Prince Edward County, and log their time for volunteer hours. Join us to collect litter on the day of the event and contact Bill McMahon at to arrange signing any necessary paperwork.

If you need further information get back to me either by return email or at (613) 394-9914.

Let’s get the Trail cleaned up.
